  • Ms Sharon

    Montessori Teacher

Ms Sharon brings 17 years of experience working with children between the ages of three to five years old to Pathway Montessori. For the past 9 years she has worked as a Montessori Guide. She also has experience working with children with behavioural challenges and children with special needs. Born and raised in England, in 2006 she emigrated to Calgary along with her family. Sharon has a passion for working with children and is delighted when she observes a child complete a work or write their name for the first time. That brings such joy to her. She feels it is also important to get to know the families of the children she will be teaching and to build a good rapport with everyone. When she is not teaching, she embraces quality time with her family, enjoying the arts and being outdoors.

  • Ms Barb

    Montessori Teacher

Ms. Barbara has over 30 years of teaching experience with young children. A graduate of Simon Fraser University’s teacher training program, Barbara taught Kindergarten and English as a Second Language in several B.C. school districts. She obtained her Early Childhood Educator license from Northern Lights College. After working for a few years in play-based preschool programs, a colleague introduced her to the Montessori philosophy and pedagogy. She derives joy and satisfaction from seeing the first time each child builds the pink tower or counts from 1- 10 using the number rods! As Dr. Montessori said,” Allow me to discover and I’ll remember forever.”
